The municipality is seeking applications from residents of the HRM to serve on the Halifax Water Board of Commissioners. There are three (3) positions total, with two (2) positions beginning by August 2026, and the third position on November 30, 2026. Successful candidates will be appointed for a two to three-year term, subject to Regional Council’s discretion. The Halifax Water Board of Commissioners is particularly seeking applications from individuals with skillsets and experience in the following areas:
- Technical engineering in any engineering technology industry
- Finance, accounting and/or economics
- Understanding of legislative processes, governmental affairs, policy-making and legislative advocacy
- Risk management and internal auditing
